PRESS RELEASE/BIOGRAPHY:
Magic Mike is a World-Class Magician from New York City. He has performed in over twenty countries, including Italy, Spain, Gibraltar, Malta, France, Israel, Egypt, Mexico, Japan, Nepal, Canada, and the Philippines. He is a retired U.S. Navy Master Chief (E-9) with SOFA sponsorship and a full-time teacher for the U.S. Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DODDS) at The Sullivans School on the U.S. Navy Base in Yokosuka. He performs regularly under a Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) contract at the military clubs on Yokosuka Base, Ikego, Negishi, and Atsugi. He has done shows at the Yokohama Country & Athetic Club (YCAC), Tokyo American Club, Tokyo Hilton Hotel, Prince Hotel Yokosuka, Biervana Akasaka, New Sanno Hotel Tokyo, U.S. Embassy Housing Area Tokyo, Monterey Hotel Yokohama, and several International Schools in the Tokyo/Yokohama area. In 2008 he was the first entertainer to perform a magic show on the aircraft carrier USS KITTY HAWK (CV-68) while the ship was underway in the Sea of Japan.Mike has been in Japan since 1999 and is an active member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (I.B.M.) the Society of American Magicians (S.A.M.), and the Veteran's of Foreign Wars (VFW). He regularly volunteers for the American Red Cross at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, entertaining patients, staff, and visitors. Mike has been featured in "Stars and Stripes" newspaper, and "Metropolis" magazine, Japan's premier English language magazine. His shows can be tailored for any audience - Children's Birthday Parties, Office Parties, Christmas Parties, Going-Away Parties, Corporate Events, or Clubs.

I DO NOT PUBLISH MY PROFESSIONAL FEE. MY FEE IS DETERMINED BY: LOCATION OF EVENT (TRAVEL TIME, TOLLS, PARKING), NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE, AND TYPE OF SHOW (STAGE SHOW, BIRTHDAY SHOW, RESTAURANT SHOW, OUTDOOR EVENT).


If you are thinking about booking me for a Children's Birthday Party, please be ready to provide me with the following information:
  • The First Name and Age of the birthday child;
  • The Date and Time you would like to have the show;
  • The exact Location of the Show - for off-base residences, a Street Address including your apt./house number would be helpful.
  • Will the show be in a Party Room, Community Room, or Private Residence?
  • How many people (adults and children approximately) will be in attendance?
  • For children's shows, what is the Range of Ages of the children in attendance)?
  • How will you pay? (Cash is preferred)
  • (OFF-BASE SHOWS ONLY) Is Parking available nearby so I may unload my magic materials and apparatus?
  • Do I have your permission to publish digital photos of your child at the show on my web site?
  • Will you be needing a receipt or invoice?

PARTY PLANNING - Some things for you to think about based on my many years experience with organizing Magic Shows:


  • The show is normally 45-minutes long, which includes an interactive Stage Magic Show.
  • 1 Hour of UNINTERRUPTED set-up time is needed in order for me to prepare the magic tricks before the show;
  • FOR SHOWS IN YOKOSUKA/IKEGO PARTY ROOMS: The Housing Office normally won't let you make a reservation more than two months in advance. Please reserve one table for my use if that is possible;
  • Your child will feel special in front of friends and family since I feature your child in the show on stage in many tricks. This is an excellent opportunity for you to take photographs or videos to capture this special moment;
  • The Birthday Child will receive a Complimentary Special Magic Gift from me;
  • For the comfort and viewing of the audience, it is best to arrange to have the children seated in chairs, not sitting on the floor;
  • It is best if the children are not eating, carrying drinks, or holding balloons/toys during the show (this is to avoid distracting the audience and increases the likelihood of that child being called to join the stage show);
  • Please advise me if you are planning to rent a Blow-Up/Bouncy Castle so we can discuss space arrangements for the show.
  • Ideally an area of 3 meters by 2 meters ( 9 ft by 6 ft) or 3 Tatami needs to be cleared for the Magic Stage Area. This does not include the area for the children to be seated comfortably;
  • It takes about 30 minutes to pack my belongings after the show. I normally do this while my wife/assistant makes the balloons for the children;
  • Ideally I need to perform with my back to a wall - not to a door or entrance way. It's a magician thing!
  • 100% Satisfaction is Guaranteed !
  • I do NOT require a deposit.
  • METHOD OF PAYMENT: You may pay me after the show is over - cash is preferred. I do accept checks written on NFCU or Community Bank accounts. Please let me know ahead of time if you require a receipt, bill, or invoice for your business or non-profit organization.
